Mental Health; Citing this act as the “Tristin Murphy Act”; expanding the programs and diversion initiatives supported by implementation or expansion grants to include training for 911 public safety telecommunicators and emergency medical technicians for certain purposes and to include veterans treatment court programs; encouraging communities to apply for specified grants to establish misdemeanor or ordinance violation mental health diversion programs; encouraging communities to apply for specified grants to establish pretrial felony mental health diversion programs; expanding eligibility for the Forensic Hospital Diversion Pilot Program to include Hillsborough County, etc. APPROPRIATION: $794,880

Local Government Land Regulation; Requiring counties to specify minimum information necessary for certain applications; revising timeframes for processing applications for approval of development permits or development orders; prohibiting a school district from collecting, charging, or imposing certain fees unless they meet certain requirements; specifying certain purposes for which local governments may use certain fees to carry out activities relating to obtaining or finalizing a building permit; requiring municipalities to specify minimum information necessary for certain applications, etc.

Spring Restoration; Authorizing certain domestic wastewater treatment facilities to request the incorporation of reclaimed water projects identified in Outstanding Florida Springs recovery or prevention strategies; requiring the Department of Environmental Protection to approve such requests within a certain period of time if certain conditions are met, etc.

Student Absences; Requiring a student’s primary teacher to report to the principal, or his or her designee, if a student is chronically absent; requiring the State Board of Education to create guidelines relating to student absences, etc.

Gender Identity Employment Practices; Citing this act as the "Freedom of Conscience in the Workplace Act"; specifying an employment policy of this state relating to a person’s sex; prohibiting employees and contractors of certain employers from being required to use certain pronouns or requiring such employer to use a pronoun that does not correspond to the employee’s or contractor’s sex; providing that it is an unlawful employment practice for the state or any county, municipality, special district, or other political subdivision to require certain training, instruction, or activity as a condition of employment, etc.

Requirements for Battery Manufacturers; Prohibiting cell manufacturers or marketers from selling consumer or nonconsumer products powered by medium-format, portable, lithium, or primary batteries, etc.
