Prohibits the courts from deferring the acceptance of guilty or no contest pleas that could result in the expungement of the offense from the criminal record of state or county law enforcement officers for felonies, misdemeanors, or petty misdemeanors that the officers are alleged to have committed while in the performance of the duties of an officer.

RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY.
Appropriates $1,000,000 to the department of public safety for rehabilitation of incarcerated persons. Allows the department to contract with private service providers for rehabilitation services. Requires the department to report to the legislature 20 days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2018.
