(Current law provides that a student is bound by compulsory school attendance requirements from the beginning of the fall school term for the school year in which the student becomes seven years of age.) Makes conforming amendments.

Requires the following cases to be filed in a Marion County small claims court: (1) A possessory action between a landlord and a tenant in which the past due rent does not exceed $10,000. (2) An action for the possession of property where the value of the property does not exceed $10,000.

Adds felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a child to the list of crimes for which a juvenile court shall, upon motion of the prosecuting attorney, waive jurisdiction under certain circumstances. Removes certain crimes concerning children and firearms from the list of crimes in which a juvenile court does not have jurisdiction for an alleged violation. Removes language in the unlawful carrying of a handgun statute prohibiting a person less than 18 years of age from carrying a handgun. Provides that the unlawful carrying of a handgun statute applies to a person who has been adjudicated as a delinquent child under the statute, and is at least 18 years of age but less than 23 years of age. Renames the "dangerous possession of a firearm" crime to "unlawful possession of a firearm by a child" and provides that the enhanced penalty applies if the offense was committed: (1) on or in school property; (2) within 500 feet of school property; or (3) on a school bus. Removes the reckless mens rea for unlawful possession of a firearm by a child. Makes technical changes.

Establishes that, before signing a purchase agreement to sell or transfer residential property, an individual or entity issued a broker's real estate license by the Indiana real estate commission representing a seller shall ensure that the seller: (1) provides a radon warning statement to the buyer; (2) discloses in writing to the buyer any knowledge the seller has of radon concentrations in the dwelling; and (3) provides the buyer with a guide on radon, testing, and mitigation published by the Indiana department of health.

Provides that the people of Indiana may propose and adopt amendments to the Constitution of the State of Indiana through an initiative. Provides that the people of Indiana may approve or reject any statute or part of any statute enacted by the general assembly through a referendum. This proposed amendment has not been previously agreed to by a general assembly.

Provides that if a person changes the exterior color or appearance of their passenger vehicle from the color listed in the vehicle's registration through certain methods, the person must apply to amend their vehicle registration, and that a law enforcement officer shall issue a warning to a person who does not update the person's registration to reflect the color changes. Provides that a person commits a Class C misdemeanor if the person changes the color of a passenger vehicle after it was used in the commission of a crime and fails to amend the vehicle registration. Requires the BMV to require a person renewing a registration to indicate if the vehicle's color has changed.

Requires safety rest areas, gas stations, and welcome centers to display human trafficking awareness information, and permits massage establishments to display human trafficking awareness information.

Makes Indiana Code publication amendments. Repeals and relocates specific Indiana Code definitions chapters for organization of the defined terms by alphabetical order and to provide for future expansion of the chapters. Makes conforming cross-reference updates. Makes technical amendments to remove tabulation designations from the certain criminal law and procedure sections for consistency with similar statutes and to streamline amendment of those sections. Resolves technical conflicts between various enrolled acts passed during the 2025 legislative session.

Allows a court to order, upon its own motion, that certain eviction records may not be disclosed. Allows a tenant, in certain circumstances, to file a motion requesting that records related to an eviction action not be disclosed. Allows the court to issue an order without a hearing in certain circumstances. Specifies that a final judgment for the recovery of money or costs does not constitute a lien upon real estate and chattels real if certain eviction actions are prohibited from disclosure. Makes conforming changes.
