Citizen’s Arrest; Abrogating the common-law remedy of, and prohibiting, citizen’s arrests; providing exceptions, etc.

Tax Exemptions for Disabled Ex-servicemembers; Revising the amount of a certain exemption related to disabled ex-servicemembers, etc.

Cardiac and Medical Emergencies on School Grounds; Citing this act as the “HeartCharged Act”; requiring each public school to have at least one automated external defibrillator on school grounds; encouraging each charter school and private school to have at least one defibrillator on school grounds and to comply with specified requirements; providing immunity from liability for school employees and students under the Good Samaritan Act and the Cardiac Arrest Survival Act; requiring the Commissioner of Education, at his or her sole discretion, to create and disseminate specified protocols and plans relating to the use of defibrillators in schools, etc.

Homestead Property Tax Exemption for the Surviving Spouse of Certain Quadriplegics; Proposing amendments to the State Constitution to authorize the Legislature to provide for a homestead property tax exemption for the surviving spouse of certain quadriplegics, etc.

Florida A&M University Rattlers; Recognizing and honoring the Florida A&M University Rattlers football team for winning the 2023 HBCU National Championship, etc.

Residency Status for Tuition Purposes; Providing an additional method for a student to prove residency for tuition purposes, etc.
