Designating .One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. as the official film of Oregon.

Maddy summaryHCR 6 is a concurrent resolution proposing to designate *One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest* (1975) as Oregon’s official film. It cites the film’s connections to Oregon, including being shot at the Oregon State Hospital in Salem, featuring local locations like Depoe Bay, and being based on author Ken Kesey’s Oregon roots. The resolution does not create new laws or affect any policies - it is a symbolic gesture recognizing the film’s cultural ties to the state. The measure was referred to committee in June 2025 but has not yet passed.
