Global Food Security Reauthorization Act of 2022 This bill reauthorizes through FY2028 activities to implement the Global Food Security Strategy, a whole-of-government strategy to promote global food security, resilience, and nutrition. The bill also modifies aspects of the strategy, such as requiring the strategy to seek to improve the efficiency and resilience of agricultural production. The bill also reauthorizes through FY2028 activities related to the Emergency Food Security Program, an international market-based assistance program.

Safeguarding Privacy in Your Car Act of 2022 This bill repeals a provision relating to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration prescribing a federal motor vehicle safety standard that required certain passenger motor vehicles to be equipped with advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology.

Asylum Integrity Act This bill establishes under statute a framework for determining whether an asylum seeker has filed a frivolous application. Under this bill, an asylum application shall be considered frivolous if the application was knowingly filed and (1) includes a fabricated material element, (2) is premised on false or fabricated evidence, (3) was filed without regard to the merits of the claims, or (4) is clearly foreclosed by law. (Currently, regulations provide for a similar, but not identical, framework for asylum applications filed on or after January 11, 2021.)

This resolution celebrates the 50th anniversary of the inaugural launch of the Landsat series of Earth Observation satellites (commonly known as the Landsat program). The resolution recognizes the scientific, engineering, and analytical expertise of the U.S. Geological Survey, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the advisory Landsat Science Team. The resolution also recognizes the important contributions that data produced by the Landsat program provides to decision-makers worldwide. Finally, the resolution designates July 23, 2022, as Landsat 50th Anniversary Day, or Landsaturday.

This bill requires the Department of Defense, in coordination with the Department of State, to expand military cybersecurity cooperation with Jordan. These efforts may include (1) bilateral cybersecurity training activities; (2) establishing a regional cybersecurity center; (3) actively defending military networks, infrastructure, and systems; (4) eradicating malicious cyber activity; and (5) leveraging U.S. commercial and military cybersecurity technology and services.

Food and Energy Security Act This bill provides requirements for specified federal financial agencies when regulating activity that could impact the extension of capital or investments to agricultural- or energy-related businesses. Specifically, an agency must analyze the economic impact of any such regulation. If the analysis estimates that the regulation would increase prices, and if the consumer price index exceeds a certain level, the agency is prohibited from implementing the regulation.

Benjamin Berell Ferencz Congressional Gold Medal Act This bill provides for the award of a Congressional Gold Medal to Benjamin Berell Ferencz in recognition of his service to the United States and the international community during the post-World War II Nuremberg trials and his lifelong advocacy for international criminal justice and the rule of law.

Peace Corps Reauthorization Act of 2022 This bill reauthorizes the Peace Corps program through FY2027 and addresses other issues related to the program. For example, the bill (1) increases the readjustment allowances for returning Peace Corps volunteers; (2) provides statutory authority to an executive order that provides returning volunteers with noncompetitive eligibility for federal employment purposes (i.e., eligibility to be noncompetitively appointed to a competitive federal position); and (3) requires the Peace Corps to take all reasonable measures to prevent and address reprisal or retaliation against a volunteer by any person with supervisory authority over the volunteer, such as a Peace Corps officer.

This resolution remembers former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and his work to strengthen the alliance between the United States and Japan. It also extends condolences to his family and the people of Japan.

This resolution expresses support for the designation of National Sarcoma Awareness Month. Sarcoma is a cancer of connective tissues, such as nerves, muscles, joints, fat, bones, and blood vessels.
