A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 17 and Article 2 of Chapter 13 of Title 24 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to criminal procedure and subpoenas and notice to produce, respectively, so as to modify provisions relating to motions and discovery in criminal cases; to modernize discovery processes; to revise provisions relating to service of subpoenas; to amend Code Section 35-3-151 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to responsibilities of the Division of Forensic Sciences, so to correct a cross-reference; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 1 of Chapter 17 of Title 45 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions regarding notaries public, so as to provide for notarial acts to be performed using electronic means when certain requirements are satisfied; to provide for definitions; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Sections 10-6B-53, 31-32-7, and 50-13-13 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to benefits from governmental programs or civil or military service, duties and responsibilities of health care agents, and opportunity for hearing in contested cases, notice, counsel, subpoenas, record, enforcement powers, and revenue cases, respectively, so as to provide limited authority for the appointment of an authorized representative for the purposes of completing an application for public benefits on behalf of a deceased individual and attending any hearing thereon or litigating any appeal related thereto; to provide for the termination of such authority; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 17 of Title 44 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to transfer-on-death deeds, so as to modify certain provisions regarding transfer-on-death deeds; to provide for a definition; to provide for the acceptance of a real estate transfer; to provide for revocation; to provide for limitations; to provide for curing defects; to amend Chapter 3 of Title 53 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to year's support, so as to provide for precedence of transfer-on-death deeds; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 1 of Title 15 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions relative to courts, so as to provide for service by judges, justices, court officers, and other individuals as a judge advocate in certain capacities; to provide for construction; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 1 of Chapter 13 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions relative to controlled substances, so as to provide for the restriction and seal of certain records upon sentencing of a first conditional discharge for possession of controlled substances and certain nonviolent property crimes until such status is revoked; to provide for exceptions; to amend Chapter 3 of Title 35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, so as to provide for the restriction and seal of a sentence entered upon a first conditional discharge for possession of a controlled substance until such status is revoked; to provide for exceptions; to provide for definitions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A RESOLUTION proposing an amendment to the Constitution so as to provide that qualified low-income building projects may be classified as a separate class of property for ad valorem property tax purposes, and different rates, methods, and assessment dates may be provided for such building projects; to provide for the submission of this amendment for ratification or rejection; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 11 of Title 14 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to limited liability companies, so as to permit the creation of protected series and registered series of a limited liability company; to provide for procedures for creation of such series; to provide for the records of such series; to provide for the assets property owned by such series; to provide for consolidation of series; to provide for merger of registered series; to provide for definitions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 27 of Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to loitering at or disrupting schools, so as to require the local board of education or other governing body of each public and private elementary and secondary school in this state to install key boxes at each school building in locations determined in collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency management agencies; to provide for the purpose, content, and minimum standards of such key boxes; to provide for policies and procedures; to provide for immunity from civil liability; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to penal institutions, so as to limit the time that Department of Community Supervision can hold certain inmates in a county facility; to increase the amount of reimbursement paid to counties by the Department of Corrections and the State Board of Pardons and Paroles for housing inmates; to provide revised time periods for when such reimbursement begins and ends; to prohibit certain inmates from serving sentences in a county facility following conviction, revocation of probation, or revocation of parole; to provide for exceptions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
