This joint resolution nullifies the interim final rule submitted by the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security and published on March 29, 2022, concerning procedures for the consideration of asylum claims and other related issues. (Among other changes, the interim final rule requires an asylum seeker subject to expedited removal to be screened by an asylum officer for a credible fear of persecution or torture, rather than a credible fear of persecution, reasonable possibility of persecution, or reasonable possibility of torture.)

Foreign Merger Subsidy Disclosure Act This bill requires entities to disclose in their premerger notification filings to federal antitrust regulators content regarding any economic support they received from a foreign state.

No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act This bill establishes that any convention or agreement on pandemic-related issues reached by the World Health Assembly (WHA) pursuant to a specified negotiating body shall be deemed to be a treaty requiring the advice and consent of the Senate. Specifically, this bill applies to any international instrument negotiated by the intergovernmental negotiating body established by the WHA in December 2021 to strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response.

Defending Americans from Authoritarian Digital Currencies Act This bill prohibits app stores in the United States from carrying or supporting any app that allows transactions using the Chinese government's Digital Currency Electronic Payment system (e-CNY). App stores also may not support or enable transactions in e-CNY in their app stores.

Small Business Audit Correction Act of 2022 This bill exempts certain privately held, noncustody brokers and dealers in good standing from specified audit report requirements of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

All surcharges received from the sale of such coins shall be paid to the Friends of the National World War II Memorial to support the National Park Service in maintaining and repairing the memorial, and for educational and commemorative programs.

This resolution expresses the sense of the Senate that the President should work with Congress to develop and execute a strategy to counter the rise in violent crime across the country by reinforcing strong criminal justice policies, by laying blame on the perpetrators of violent acts, and by securing the southern border.

Expanding America's Pacific Diplomatic Presence Act of 2022 This bill requires the Government Accountability Office to report to Congress an assessment of the feasibility of establishing new diplomatic posts in Pacific Island countries and territories that currently do not have a U.S. diplomatic post.
