SB 1858: Education - As introduced, gives a parent of a child who attends, or who is eligible to attend, a school operated by a local education agency or a public charter school standing to file a civil action against the LEA or public charter school in a chancery court of competent jurisdiction to enforce the Age-Appropriate Materials Act of 2022. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 38.

SB 2574: Criminal Offenses - As introduced, increases from Class E and Class D to a Class C felony the classification of theft of a firearm valued at less than $60,000 and related offenses; specifies that it is a Class C felony to receive, possess, store, barter, sell, transfer, or dispose of a stolen firearm or firearm ammunition. - Amends TCA Title 39 and Title 40.

SB 2835: Law Enforcement - As introduced, upon written request by a member of the general assembly, requires all state and local law enforcement agencies to release to the member making the request a copy of all records collected by the agency, including, but not limited to, all writings and medical, toxicology, and other reports, of a perpetrator involved in a school shooting incident that occurred at a public or private school in this state in March of 2023. - Amends TCA Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5 and Title 38.

SB 2388: Firearms and Ammunition - As introduced, prohibits a gun dealer from delivering to a purchaser a trigger crank, bump stock, bump-fire device, or any other part, combination of parts, component, device, attachment, or accessory that is designed or functions to accelerate the rate of fire of a firearm until 72 hours have passed from the initial time at which the sale of the firearm accessory was sought by the purchaser. - Amends TCA Title 39.
