SB 1296: Election Laws - As introduced, allows a voter to take photographs or videos of only the voter’s marked ballot on a mobile electronic or communication device in polling place; authorizes poll watchers and election officials to prohibit any disruptive activity that threatens the voting process or the privacy of a voter. - Amends TCA Section 2-7-142.

SB 137: School Transportation - As introduced, increases the age limit from 21 to 25 for a person's eligibility to receive the school bus endorsement on a driver license; persons between the ages of 21 and 25 years will be grandfathered for purposes of seeking a renewal of an existing endorsement. - Amends TCA Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 21 and Title 55.

SB 886: Water - As introduced, requires persons who intend to drill a water well to provide at least 14 days advance notice to the commissioner of environment and conservation or the local government with jurisdiction over wells in the area where the well will be located; requires that notices of intent to drill a water well be published on the internet. - Amends TCA Title 68 and Title 69.

SB 620: Jails, Local Lock-ups - As introduced, requires, instead of permits, that the county legislative body or court appoint jail inspectors for the upcoming year; includes the judiciary committee of the senate, the state and local government committee of the senate, the criminal justice committee of the house of representatives, and the local government committee of the house of representatives to receive the results of the inspection no later than March 1 of each year; includes the local state senator and state representative of the respective area to be included in the report by the board of control for a failure of the county, municipality, or political subdivision to maintain the standards required by the Tennessee corrections institute. - Amends TCA Title 41, Chapter 4.
