SB 643: Orders of Protection - As introduced, allows a court to grant a restraining order to either or both parties at an order of protection hearing, without requiring a separate action, if both the petitioner and respondent have had the opportunity to be heard by the court; allows the court to dismiss an order of protection or petition for an order of protection. - Amends TCA Title 36, Chapter 3, Part 6.

HB 586: Real Property - As introduced, allows an action against a person claiming adverse possession to extend past the seven-year statute of limitation if there is an allegation of a person moving, removing, or destroying property stakes to alter the lawful property owner’s property lines; punishes any person found guilty of moving, removing, or destroying property stakes for the purpose of adverse possession as a Class E felony. - Amends TCA Title 28; Title 39 and Title 66.
