SB 750: Relating to small forestland owners.

Provides that small forestland owner that planted trees under reforestation requirements may harvest trees. Specifies that reforestation requirements apply after trees have been harvested. Allows State Board of Forestry to adopt rules.

SJR 13: Proposing amendment to Oregon Constitution relating to the impeachment of statewide elected Executive Branch officials.

Proposes amendment to Oregon Constitution to vest power of impeachment of statewide elected Executive Branch officials in House of Representatives and power to try impeachments in Senate. Requires three-fifths majority vote of House of Representatives to deliver impeachment resolution to Senate and two-thirds majority vote of Senate for conviction. Limits judgment to removal from office and disqualification from holding other public office in this state. Refers proposed amendment to people for approval or rejection at next regular general election held throughout this state.

SB 1030: Relating to child welfare investigations.

Requires Judicial Department, in collaboration with Public Defense Services Commission, to study child welfare investigations and improvements necessary to align rights and procedural protections of parents and children involved in child welfare investigations with those afforded to defendants in criminal proceedings. Directs department, in collaboration with Public Defense Services Commission, to submit findings to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to judiciary not later than September 15, 2024. Modifies offense of making false report of child abuse. Punishes first offense by maximum of 364 days' imprisonment, $6,250 fine, or both. Punishes second or subsequent offense by maximum of five years' imprisonment, $125,000 fine, or both. Creates civil cause of action for false report of child abuse.

SB 1022: Relating to sex offenders.

Requires that sex offender risk assessment methodology take into consideration specified information. Provides that victim may request reclassification of sex offender into risk level within three years of initial classification, or within five years when certain circumstances exist. Directs Department of State Police to include on sex offender website full address for level three sex offenders and photo, city and zip code for level one and level two sex offenders. Appropriates moneys to State Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision for conducting sex offender risk reassessments at victim request. .
