Enacts the criminal street gang abatement act of 2017; creates the crime of gang solicitation, recruitment or retention; creates the crime of gang solicitation, recruitment or retention of minors; creates the crime of gang solicitation, recruitment or retention of minors on school grounds; appropriates funds for schools to receive gang prevention programs and to provide witness protection services to witnesses of crimes.

S 5822: Relates to notices to taxpayers regarding the right to a hearing sent by the division of taxation or the division of appeals

Relates to notices to taxpayers regarding the right to a hearing sent by the division of taxation or the division of appeals; requires such notices to be sent at least once a month for three months and prohibits the division from denying a taxpayer a hearing when the taxpayer can prove that failure to respond was due to no fault of his or her own.
