S 1552: Living Donor Protection Act of 2025

Living Donor Protection Act of 2025 This bill prohibits life insurance, disability insurance, and long-term insurance carriers from denying or otherwise restricting coverage for living organ donors. In addition, the Department of Health and Human Services must update educational materials on living organ donation to include information about the benefits and risks of living organ donation and the impact of donation on insurance access, particularly with respect to the bill's changes.

S 4030: Supporting After-School STEM Educators Act

This bill establishes a grant program to provide professional development scholarships for educators working in after-school, summer, and other out-of-school time programs, with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics subjects. The program prioritizes serving communities with historically underinvested STEM resources and aims to support educators in gaining STEM credentials and improving their wages. Intermediaries receiving grants must also create centralized databases of training opportunities and facilitate peer networks for educators.
