HRES 938: Recognizing the important role America's forensic nurses play in supporting survivors and addressing violence.

HRES 938 is a symbolic House resolution recognizing forensic nurses for their critical role in supporting violence survivors and addressing violence-related health impacts. It directly honors forensic nurses - such as sexual assault nurse examiners and trauma specialists - who provide trauma-informed care to patients affected by violence, including sexual assault, abuse, and human trafficking. The resolution highlights that over 2 million people annually receive treatment for violence-related injuries and notes forensic nursing's 30-year history as a specialty, though it does not create new policies or funding. It serves as a formal acknowledgment of their work, not a legislative change.
