Close Big Oil Tax Loopholes Act This bill limits or repeals tax and royalty relief provisions that benefit certain large oil companies. It modifies foreign tax credit rules applicable to such companies and limits deductions for intangible drilling and development costs, percentage depletion, enhanced oil recovery, and other tax preferences. The bill repeals the outer Continental Shelf deep water and deep gas royalty relief provisions. Any savings resulting from this bill must be used for federal budget deficit reduction or, if there is no current budget deficit, for reducing the federal debt.

HR 9475: TEACH Act of 2022

Teacher and Educator Access to Crucial Health and Wellness Act of 2022 or the TEACH Act of 2022 This bill directs the Department of Education to award grants to state educational agencies and, through them, subgrants to local educational agencies to implement or improve health and wellness programs for education professionals. It also requires the National Institutes of Health to study the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of education professionals.

SRES 713: A resolution recognizing Russian actions in Ukraine as a genocide.

This resolution condemns those acting on behalf of Russia for committing acts of genocide against the Ukrainian people. Bring Our Heroes Home Act This bill establishes at the National Archives a collection of records that relate to the fate or status of missing Armed Forces personnel. Each government office must identify and locate such records in its possession and transmit them to the Archives. The bill establishes a temporary board to ensure and facilitate the review, transmission, and public disclosure of such records. The bill generally makes such records public, with specified exceptions.

S 2541: Shadow Wolves Enhancement Act

Shadow Wolves Enhancement Act This bill authorizes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to reclassify officers assigned to the tactical patrol unit on Tohono O'odham Nation land, commonly known as Shadow Wolves , as ICE special agents upon completing certain required training. Officers assigned to a comparable unit, regardless of location, may also be reclassified as ICE special agents upon completing the training and receiving the approval and consent of the appropriate Indian tribe. The Department of Homeland Security and the Government Accountability Office shall separately study and report on the best processes for expanding the Shadow Wolves program.

Enhancing DHS Drug Seizures Act This bill addresses various issues related to border security. For example, the bill authorizes the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to waive reimbursement for the salaries of DHS employees providing training to foreign-vetted law enforcement or national security units under an agreement with the Department of Defense; authorizes U.S. Customs and Border Protection to provide air and marine support to foreign governments for certain operations, such as an operation to stop illegal drugs from entering the United States; and makes it a crime to destroy or significantly damage physical or electronic devices (e.g., fences or cameras) used by the federal government to control a U.S. international border with the intent to achieve certain goals relating to securing financial gain and breaking federal laws.
