Justice for Angel Families Act This bill expands the allowable uses of state compensation payments for crime victims to include certain expenses for angel families. Angel family refers to the immediate family members of any individual who is a victim of homicide committed by (1) an individual who is unlawfully present in the United States, or (2) a member of an international criminal organization involved in the unlawful trafficking of controlled substances. The bill also reestablishes the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office within the Department of Homeland Security.
Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park Boundary Revision Act This bill revises the boundary of the Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park in Missouri. The Department of the Interior may acquire, by donation, the land (including any improvements to the land) owned by the city of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, and used as the visitor center for the park, as generally identified on the revised map of the park. Upon acquisition of such land, Interior shall revise the boundary of the park to include the acquired land. Interior may acquire, by purchase from a willing seller or by donation, not more than 20 acres of land in the vicinity of the park for administrative facilities for the park.
State Antitrust Enforcement Venue Act of 2022 This bill limits the transfer and consolidation of antitrust cases that are brought by states in federal court. Current law generally permits federal civil cases that are related to be transferred to a single district court and consolidated for pretrial proceedings. However, under current law, antitrust cases brought by the federal government are exempt from transfer and consolidation. This bill adds to that exemption antitrust cases brought by states.
Counter-UAS Authority Extension and Transparency Enhancement Act of 2022 This bill extends and revises provisions related to the protection of certain facilities and assets from unmanned aircraft. Authority under the bill terminates on October 1, 2023.
Preventing Underhanded and Nefarious Iranian Supported Homicides Act of 2022 or the PUNISH Act of 2022 This bill extends sanctions and national emergencies related to Iran established by specified executive orders and limits the authority of the President to waive sanctions related to Iran. The bill requires the Department of State to periodically report whether Iran or any foreign person has supported specified activities, including murder or politically motivated detention in Iran of a U.S. citizen.
Codification of Verified Values Act or the CVV Act This bill requires a contributor to political organizations who uses a credit card to make online contributions to such organizations to disclose the credit verification value of such credit card at the time a contribution is made. A credit verification value is a series of numbers on a credit card (usually on the back of the card) that provides additional security for a transaction by credit card.
Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act of 2022 This bill bars the Department of the Interior and the Department of Agriculture from prohibiting or regulating the use of lead ammunition or tackle on federal land or water that is under the jurisdiction of such departments and made available for hunting or fishing. The bill makes exceptions for specified existing regulations and where the applicable department determines that a decline in wildlife population at the specific unit of federal land or water is primarily caused by the use of lead in ammunition or tackle, based on the field data from such unit, and the state approves the regulations.
Protecting Kids from Fentanyl Act This bill allows states and local educational agencies to use unexpended COVID-19 elementary and secondary school emergency relief funds for additional purposes. In particular, these funds may be used for (1) purchasing naloxone or other opioid antagonists; (2) providing training to school nurses, teachers, school administrators, and school resource officers on how to administer naloxone or other opioid antagonists; and (3) providing fentanyl awareness classes or materials to students.

Make the Universities Pay Act This bill requires institutions of higher education (IHEs) to take certain actions related to federal student loans and addresses other related issues. For example, the bill (1) makes each IHE participating in the Federal Direct Loan Program liable for 50% of any student loan balance that is in default and was used toward the cost of attendance at the IHE, and (2) expands the instances in which student loans may be discharged in bankruptcy.
Behavioral Health Integration Awareness Act of 2022 This bill requires the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to (1) conduct outreach to providers on the availability of certain behavioral health integration services under Medicare, and (2) report on the utilization of such services.
Fresh Start Act of 2021 This bill authorizes the Department of Justice to award grants for states to implement automatic expungement laws (i.e., laws that provide for the automatic expungement or sealing of an individual's criminal records).
