SB 3650: HEALTH FACILITY-VACCINE DELAY

Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Defines "covered facility" as any long-term care facility, assisted living establishment or shared housing establishment, supportive living facility, ID/DD facility, MC/DD facility, community living facility, community-integrated living arrangement, or Alzheimer's disease management center alternative health care model licensed under the Alternative Health Care Delivery Act. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall establish rules requiring a covered facility to notify a resident or the resident's power of attorney or representative whenever the covered facility determines that a vaccination recommended by the Department cannot be administered to the resident within the time frame established by the Department.

HB 4482: GENDER REASSIGNMENT PROCEDURES

Creates the Prohibition on Gender Reassignment Procedures Act. Sets forth findings. Defines terms. Provides that a health care provider shall not perform or offer to perform on a minor, or administer or offer to administer to a minor, a medical procedure if the performance or administration of the procedure is for the purpose of: (1) enabling the minor to identify with, or live as, a purported identity inconsistent with the minor's sex; or (2) treating purported discomfort or distress from a discordance between the minor's sex and asserted identity. Provides for a private right of action for a minor or a parent of a minor that was injured as a result of the Act and a right of action for the Attorney General. Provides that a violation constitutes a potential threat to public health, safety, and welfare and emergency action shall be taken by an alleged violator's appropriate regulatory authority. Provides that a minor upon whom a medical procedure is performed or administered must not be held liable for violating the Act. Makes other changes.

HB 1792: SCH CHILDREN-COVID-19 VACCINE

Amends the School Code. In provisions concerning the health examinations and immunizations that school children are required to receive, provides that a child may not be required to submit proof of having received an immunization against COVID-19 upon enrolling in school nor may a child already enrolled in school be required to receive an immunization against COVID-19. Amends the Communicable Disease Prevention Act. Pursuant to the School Code provisions, prohibits the Department of Public Health from adopting any rules that require children to receive an immunization against COVID-19. Effective immediately.
