HB 1977: RELATING TO FLOOD MITIGATION.

Requires the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, along with the Board of Land and Natural Resources as support, to convene a working group composed of representatives from appropriate county, state, and federal agencies to develop strategic regional flood plans. Requires the working group to submit to the legislature a written report of its progress in developing plans, including any findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation, no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2019. HB 2274: RELATING TO ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE.

Expands the State's existing electric vehicle charging requirements to include public parking lots. Creates a ratio to calculate the total number of electric vehicle parking stalls a parking facility built after 2016 with more than 100 stalls must have beginning 7/1/2021. Allows the Director of Transportation to fine properties not in compliance with the electric vehicle parking requirements. Establishes a working group to address mobile charging infrastructure and the feasibility of increasing the number of charging stations at Aloha Stadium. Effective 1/1/2020. (SD2)

Creates the intellectual and developmental disabilities medicaid waiver administrative claiming special fund into which federal moneys may be deposited from Department of Health's participation in the waiver program under section 1915(c) of the Social Security Act. Establishes a working group to evaluate and examine the existing application process for the section 1915(c) waiver and other services by the developmental disabilities division of the Department of Health. Requires the working group to report to the Legislature prior to the convening of the regular session of 2019. Makes an appropriation. Effective 7/1/3000. (SD2)
