HB 2528: RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES.

Requires criminal history checks of adult relatives who provide care for a child whose family receives a child care subsidy from the Department of Human Services. Clarifies that the Department of Human Services may take administrative and judicial action to enforce child care licensing provisions of Chapter 346, Hawaii Revised Statutes. Clarifies the role and response of the Child Care Licensing Program when it receives a report of death or injury of a child in a child care setting, and addresses the release of information pending an investigation. Takes effect 7/1/2525. (SD1)

HB 2380: RELATING TO DISPOSITION WITHIN STATE BOATING FACILITIES.

Before leasing any fast lands and submerged lands within any existing state boating facility by public auction, request for proposals, or direct negotiation, requires the board of land and natural resources to make a finding regarding certain sea level rise factors and allows legislative authorization for extraordinary circumstances. SB 2770: RELATING TO HEALTH CLUBS.

Requires health clubs to maintain a surety bond, letter of credit, or guaranty agreement secured by a certificate of deposit of at least $100,000 to be paid to any member who suffers loss of money paid due to the cessation of operation of a health club. (SB2770 HD1)

SB 2522: RELATING TO AGRICULTURE.

Establishes the Agriculture Accelerator Program (Program) to authorize the Agribusiness Development Corporation (ADC) to invest in existing or new agriculture businesses approved by the Board of Directors of ADC in return for equity in those agriculture businesses. Establishes an Agriculture Accelerator Special Fund to provide moneys that ADC may invest in agriculture businesses under the Program. (SB2522 HD1)
