SB 161: RELATING TO TAXATION.

Requires retailers or vendors that are not located in the State and not required to pay or collect general excise or use tax for sales to send certain information to purchasers in the State. Requires retailers or vendors to submit an annual report to the department of taxation.

SB 172: RELATING TO SCHOOL BUSES.

Requires all school buses with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than ten thousand pounds purchased, leased, or contracted for use by the State as of July 1, 2019, and thereafter, to be equipped with a seat belt assembly at each designated seating position.

SB 182: RELATING TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT.

Requires the department of health to establish a comprehensive and coordinated continuum of treatment services for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders that includes certain goals and benefits, and submit progress reports to the legislature. Establishes a task force to address health care and payment reform steps through the implementation of an effective addiction treatment system. Appropriate funds for substance abuse and addiction treatment. Sunsets on 6/30/19.

SB 19: RELATING TO THE HEALTH IMPACTS OF PESTICIDES.

Requires the department of agriculture to establish a mandatory disclosure program for pesticide use by all persons or entities under certain circumstances. Defines the term "crops" as used in chapter 149A, HRS. Increases the pesticide use revolving fund balance ceiling to $500,000.
