SB 437: RELATING TO CANDIDATE COMMITTEE REPORTS.

Clarifies the due dates of preliminary, final, and supplemental reports to be submitted to the Campaign Spending Commission and provides that the supplemental report due on January 31 must be filed every year.

SB 455: RELATING TO COMMUNITY MEETINGS.

Amends conditions under which two or more members of a board may attend an informational meeting or presentation on matters relating to official board business. Allows members of a county council to attend such meetings or presentations without limitation on the number of attendees.

SB 661: RELATING TO LAND RESOURCES.

Clarifies that county ordinances shall not conflict or interfere with DLNR rules related to the issuance of permits in support of geothermal resources development and geothermal resources exploration. Requires the lessee of a mining lease to comply with all water and air pollution control laws. Requires the rules of the board of land and natural resources regarding mining operations, geothermal resource development, and geothermal resource exploration, including drilling conditions and restrictions, to be uniform throughout the State.

HB 26: RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Prohibits any UH employee from having a salary and other benefits more than double that of the Governor without approval of the Legislature. Requires UH to submit an annual report on the employees with salaries and benefits in excess of the Governor's salary.

SB 828: RELATING TO ELECTIONS.

Prohibits a member of the legislature from serving more than twelve consecutive years in the house of representatives and twelve consecutive years in the senate. Effective upon ratification of constitutional amendment.

SB 838: RELATING TO ADVERTISING.

Prohibits advertisements for massage, relaxation, spa, escort, or body rubs from including images depicting any person being advertised as a massage therapist, relaxation therapist, or escort in a nude condition.

HB 338: RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Requires the auditor to audit UH's management of faculty workload 1 year prior to the expiration of UHPA agreements. Requires the auditor to conduct an audit of UH's management of faculty workload and report to the 2018 legislature.

SB 483: RELATING TO THE CONVEYANCE TAX.

Establishes an additional conveyance tax rate for the sale of a condominium or single family residence. Requires that one hundred per cent of the revenue in each county from the additional conveyance tax rate be allocated to the county's affordable housing fund.
