HB 127: RELATING TO INTERNAL REVENUE CODE SECTION 501(C)(4) ORGANIZATIONS.

Requires an organization that is exempt from federal taxation under IRC section 501(c)(4) to submit semi-annual reports to the campaign spending commission if the organization expends funds to make communications that advocate for or against elected officials or their positions on government actions.

SB 471: RELATING TO CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS.

Requires contractors building new one- and two-family dwellings to provide buyers with written information on the costs associated with the installation and maintenance of a residential fire sprinkler system as well as information from the State Fire Council on the benefits of such a system.

HB 187: RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

Requires the driver of a slow-moving motor vehicle on a two-lane highway where passing or overtaking is unsafe or not permitted to pull over at the nearest reasonable and safe location to allow other motor vehicles to overtake the driver if 5 or more motor vehicles are immediately trailing behind the driver.

SB 487: RELATING TO LAND USE.

Allows counties to submit their general plans to LUC for review and to request land use boundary amendments in conformance with those plans.

HB 305: RELATING TO COLLECTION OF RESTITUTION FOR CRIME VICTIMS.

Creates standards and procedures for income-withholding for purposes of enforcing restitution orders. Clarifies the priority of income withholding orders. Amends the definition of "debt" relating to the recovery of money owed to the State to include court-ordered restitution subject to civil enforcement. Extends victims' access to adult probation records to include access to payment compliance records. Requires that any bail posted by a defendant be applied toward payment of any court-ordered restitution in the same case.
