HB 22: RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Requires funds appropriated to the University of Hawaii for a specific purpose to be expended for that specific purpose. Requires a report that explains to the Legislature any nonconformity with the specific purpose of an appropriation. Requires unexpended funds to be returned to the general fund.

SB 10: RELATING TO HOUSING.

Establishes the housing for the homeless special fund and executive office on homeless identity protection to assist homeless individuals with the process, including associated costs, of obtaining a government-issued identification document. Makes an appropriation.

SB 523: RELATING TO CIVIL ACTIONS.

Allows a civil action for recovery of damages to be brought by persons subjected to sexual offenses as a minor against the person who committed the act at any time by repealing the statute of limitations. Repeals the period during which a victim of child sexual abuse may bring an otherwise time-barred civil action against the victim's abuser or an entity with a duty of care, including the State and counties.

SB 11: RELATING TO HOMELESSNESS.

Protects homeless individuals from having their personal property taken from a state or county agency without proper documentation procedures and the ability to recovery property from the agency. Establishes the executive office on homeless identity protection to assist homeless individuals with recovering government-issued identification documents.

HB 201: RELATING TO AID IN DYING.

Allows a terminally ill adult with the capacity to make an informed healthcare decision to request a prescription for aid in dying medication from their attending physician to facilitate a peaceful death. Ensures that physicians who assist patients in obtaining aid in dying medication are not subject to civil or criminal liability.
