SB 629: RELATING TO FIREWORKS.

Allows the use of consumer fireworks with a permit in movie or film productions. Authorizes the testing, disposal, or destruction of illegal, unwanted, or confiscated fireworks by law enforcement.

SB 929: RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE COLLEGE.

Expands the scope of the Hawaiian language college revolving fund to allow the deposit and expenditure of funds generated by University of Hawai‘i at Hilo's Hawaiian language college, Hawaiian language support center, and indigenous outreach program to support the Hawaiian language college and its programs and publications.

Increases the time the county councils have to review affordable housing projects from forty-five to sixty days. Repeals option for county councils to approve with modifications.

HB 346: RELATING TO COASTAL HIGHWAYS.

Requires the department of transportation to work in conjunction with any relevant educational institution or federal, state, or county agency to develop a strategic plan to protect coastal highways from the effects of coastal erosion and update the plan as needed every five years. Requires a report to the legislature. Appropriates funds.
