SB 520: RELATING TO POLYSTYRENE FOAM CONTAINERS.

Prohibits the sale of polystyrene foam containers and serving of prepared foods using polystyrene foam containers statewide. Requires restaurants to charge customers 20 cents as a malama aina fee per take-out order. Authorizes the Department of Health to adopt rules to implement the prohibition and include within its administrative rules a requirement for prepared food vendors to educate their customers about proper disposal of nonreusable food containers and litter reduction. Effective 1/1/2020.

SB 735: RELATING TO HOMELESSNESS.

Requires that the Department of Land and Natural Resources in consultation with the Department of Human Services, post signs in parks and beaches from Kalaeloa to Makaha displaying telephone numbers and hotline numbers of county and state agencies that assist homeless individuals. Appropriates funds.

SB 841: RELATED TO ELECTIONS.

Excludes from the definition of "advertisement" communications on clothing and other attire associated with a candidate's candidate committee. Removes clothing, other attire, yard signs, and sundry items and advertisements made by a candidate or candidate's candidate committee from electioneering communication reporting requirements.

SB 626: RELATING TO FIREWORKS.

Requires for shippers with knowledge they are transporting fireworks to notify the appropriate county fire department of the shipment into the State or between counties.

SB 555: RELATING TO MINIMUM WAGE.

Increases the minimum wage to $10.50 per hour in 2020. Repeals language allowing the hourly wage of a tipped employee to be increased on account of tips. Requires the department of labor and industrial relations to annually calculate the adjusted minimum wage rate to the nearest five cents using the Honolulu region CPI-W.
