Specifies fee for a certificate of authority for an application for motor vehicle self-insurance. Permits insurance commissioner to issue a declaration before an event that may require the use of nonresident adjusters. Beginning 1/1/2019, conforms producer licensing requirements to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners' Producer Licensing Model Act. Requires certain costs and expenses incurred by the commissioner during supervisory procedures to be paid or reimbursed by insurer assets. Makes housekeeping amendments. (CD1)
Adds the Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Departments of Taxation, Human Services, and Labor and Industrial Relations to the list of agencies that are authorized to conduct criminal history record checks on employees, prospective employees, and contractors who have access to federal tax information. Establishes the offense of criminal trespass onto state lands to the penal code. Amends the offense of criminal trespass in the second degree to apply to government agricultural property regardless of whether it is fenced, enclosed, or otherwise secured. (CD1)
Authorizes and establishes criteria for administrative orders to provide inpatient psychiatric treatment to an involuntarily committed patient over the patient's objection. Requires DOH and DPS to make recommendations for an administrative process applicable to persons subject to DPS jurisdiction. (HB554 CD1)
Specifies that the authorized benefit for acupuncture treatments allowed under personal injury protection benefits provided through motor vehicle insurance shall be tied to the charges, and any subsequent increases in charges, permissible under the workers' compensation supplemental medical fee schedule.
