HB 456: RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY.

Appropriates funds for the immediate needs of Maui Community Correctional Center. Exempts the funds appropriated for the immediate needs of Maui Community Correctional Center from the procurement code. Appropriates funds for six months of housing costs for two hundred forty-eight inmates at Saguaro Correctional Center in Arizona and for costs to return the inmates to Hawaii. (HB456 CD1)

SB 1378: RELATING TO TRANSPORTATION.

Clarifies that owners of chassis used for transporting shipping containers are exempt from the requirement to keep a certificate of registration within the chassis. Authorizes these businesses to keep the original certificate of registration, motor vehicle identification card, certificate of insurance, and certificate of inspection at their principal place of business within the State and specifies that it is not a requirement to keep the original or copy of these documents on the chassis. HB 1561: RELATING TO AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT.

Appropriates funds for the fiscal biennium 2019-2021 operating budget of the Agribusiness Development Corporation (ADC). Requires the Auditor to conduct a performance audit of the ADC. Appropriates funds for the Auditor to contract with an accounting firm to conduct a financial audit of the ADC. Requires the ADC to annually report and post on its website specified information. Appropriates funds for an environmental assessment and appraisal of certain real property. Effective 6/28/2019. (SD2)
