A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 7 of Title 50 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Department of Economic Development, so as to create the Georgia CHIPS and Advanced Technology Commission; to provide for the purpose, membership, and duties of such commission; to amend Chapter 34 of Title 50, relating to the OneGeorgia Authority, so as to abolish the Georgia CHIPS and Advanced Technology Consortium; to replace the advisory panel and executive committee governing said consortium with the Georgia CHIPS and Advanced Technology Commission; to provide for a definition; to provide for a sunset date; to provide for related matters; to provide for a short title; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 13 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to contracts, so as to provide consumers with the option of having service contracts that contain automatic renewal provisions terminate after their specified period rather than being subject to the automatic renewal provision; to provide requirements relating to the exercise of such option; to revise the application of notice and disclosure requirements relating to automatic renewals in service contracts; to amend Title 10 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to commerce and trade, so as to revise the application of requirements relating to online automatic renewals and continuous service offers; to provide for construction; to provide for definitions; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
