Original National Domestic Violence Awareness Month Resolution of 2022 This resolution supports the goals and ideals of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Further, it expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that Congress should continue to raise awareness of and support programs to end domestic violence.
Fire Grants and Safety Act This bill reauthorizes through FY2030 the U.S. Fire Administration, the Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program, and the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant Program.
Trust in Government Act of 2022 This bill directs certain agencies (e.g., the Department of State, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Social Security Administration) to take specified steps to improve service delivery and public perception of agency interactions. The Office of Management and Budget must designate a team of individuals to lead and support agency initiatives to improve public perception of agency interactions.
Filipino Veterans Fairness Act of 2022 This bill expands eligibility for certain Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits to the surviving spouse and children of individuals who served in the organized military forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Scouts. In determining eligibility under this bill, the VA must take into account any alternative documentation regarding such service, other than the recognized guerilla rosters stored at the National Personnel Records Center.
Major Richard Star Act This bill provides that combat-disabled uniformed services retirees with fewer than 20 years of creditable service may concurrently receive, without reduction, veterans' disability compensation and retired pay or combat-related special compensation.
Informing New Factors and Options for Reproductive Care Act of 2022 or the INFO for Reproductive Care Act of 2022 This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to carry out a campaign to educate health care professionals (and health care professions students) about assisting patients to navigate legal issues related to abortions and other reproductive health care services.

Manufacturing Jobs for Veterans Act of 2022 This bill requires the Department of Labor, as part of the Veteran's Workforce Investment Program, to implement the Veterans Manufacturing Employment Program to award competitive grants to three states for the establishment and administration of a State Manufacturing Employment Program. Such program must provide grants to manufacturing employers and joint-labor management organizations that provide eligible veterans with training, on-the-job training, apprenticeships, and training that leads to a recognized postsecondary credential. Eligible veterans are those who are employed by a manufacturing employer and enrolled or participating in a specified training, on-the-job training, apprenticeship, or certification class.
Public Service Expenditure Cap Modification Act This bill waives for FY2023 a cap on the amount that recipients of Community Development Block Grant funds may spend on public service activities (e.g., those concerned with employment, crime prevention, childcare, and health). Current law prohibits recipients from expending more than 15% of funds on such activities. The bill also directs the Department of Housing and Urban Development to allow recipients to provide emergency grant payments on behalf of eligible families for up to six months. Currently, these payments, which provide assistance with housing, utilities, or other subsistence support, are limited to three months.
Keep Americans Safe Act This bill establishes a new criminal offense for the import, sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device (LCAFD). The bill does not prohibit certain conduct with respect to an LCAFD, including the following: importation, sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession related to certain law enforcement efforts, or authorized tests or experiments; importation, sale, transfer, or possession related to securing nuclear materials; and possession by a retired law enforcement officer. The bill permits continued possession of, but prohibits sale or transfer of, a grandfathered LCAFD. Newly manufactured LCAFDs must display serial number identification and the date of manufacture. Additionally, the bill allows a state or local government to use Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program funds to compensate individuals who surrender an LCAFD under a buy-back program.
Reviewing the Effects of Programs, Orders, and Rules with Thorough Study Act or the REPORTS Act This bill requires federal agencies, when publishing notice of a proposed major rule, to include an analysis of the rule's potential impact on low-income individuals and racial inequity. The Government Accountability Office must annually report on the impact of certain programs on low-income individuals and racial inequity.
