Absentee voting; emergency absentee voting byand late applications for persons hospitalized; definition of hospital.Amends the definition of hospital, for purposes of emergency absenteevoting by or late absentee ballot applications for persons who havebeen hospitalized, so that it is not limited to hospitals in Virginia,the District of Columbia, or a state contiguous to Virginia. Thebill also removes the requirement that a person submitting a lateabsentee ballot application due to the hospitalization of himselfor a member of his immediate family or to the death of a member ofhis immediate family must be absent from his county or city on electionday in order to be eligible for the late absentee ballot application.
