Easy Returns Act

HR 4803, the Easy Returns Act, requires large retailers (those with 500+ employees) to include a physical return label with every physical good delivered to a consumer. This applies to standard items, excluding perishable goods (like food), custom-made items, or when retailers offer free, convenient alternatives like in-home pickup. The Federal Trade Commission will enforce the rule, treating violations as unfair or deceptive practices under existing law. The law aims to simplify returns for consumers by mandating accessible return methods directly tied to the initial delivery.
