Combating the Lies of Authoritarians in School Systems Act
What changed between versions
The entire prohibition barring public schools from accepting funds or entering contracts with the Government of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Communist Party, or any entity acting on their behalf was deleted. This had been a condition on receiving federal financial assistance.
A $10,000 aggregate threshold was added to the foreign funding disclosure requirement. Schools now only must report when they receive funds in excess of $10,000 in the aggregate from a foreign source or enter into contracts with an aggregate value in excess of $10,000 with a foreign source.
The definitions section was restructured from a standalone section (Section 4) to subsection (b) within the disclosure section, and its scope was narrowed from 'In this Act' to 'In this section.'
