Disaster Assistance Fairness Act

This bill amends federal disaster relief law to improve support for condominiums, housing cooperatives, and other residential common interest communities after major disasters. It requires the President to establish rules allowing debris removal from these communities when state or local authorities determine it is necessary for public safety, health, or economic recovery. The bill also expands federal assistance to cover repairs of essential shared features like roofs, elevators, and utility systems, provided individuals can document their pro rata share of costs. These changes apply to disasters declared after the bill's enactment.
