African Burial Ground International Memorial Museum and Educational Center Act

This bill establishes the African Burial Ground International Memorial Museum and Educational Center at the National Monument site in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The museum will honor enslaved Africans buried there (estimated 20,000 remains) and examine African cultural traditions, slavery's history, and its global impact through exhibits and research. The National Park Service will operate the museum with federal funding covering two-thirds of costs, using a partnership involving federal, state, and city governments, plus private sector support. It requires an Advisory Council to guide planning and operations, linking with the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
