United States Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Review Act

This bill requires the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), working with the Commerce Secretary, to produce an annual report assessing foreign investment in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry. The report must analyze supply chain reliance on foreign manufacturing, the impact of foreign ownership on domestic drug production capacity, effects on DNA sequencing/storage technology in the U.S., and consequences of U.S. companies moving manufacturing overseas. The FTC must publish a public summary of each report online. This obligation applies directly to the FTC, Commerce Department, and specified congressional committees, focusing on gathering factual data about industry dependencies rather than implementing new regulations.
