Election Worker and Polling Place Protection Act

This bill amends the Voting Rights Act to add criminal penalties for interfering with election workers and polling places. It prohibits threatening, intimidating, or physically harming voters, poll workers, or election officials, and bans damaging polling locations or election equipment used in federal elections. Violators face fines up to $2,500 or 6 months in jail for basic offenses, increasing to $5,000 or 1 year if injury occurs or weapons are involved. The law excludes minor damage from penalties and requires federal prosecution only with the Attorney General's certification, ensuring states retain primary jurisdiction.
