Early Childhood Mental Health Support Act

It requires the creation of a review process focusing on trauma-informed care, tiered support levels, and effectiveness across diverse populations, with updates every five years. The bill authorizes $100 million over ten years to fund grants for Head Start agencies implementing these identified practices, along with an evaluation framework to measure effectiveness and long-term impact. It also establishes up to five "Best Practice Centers" at universities to train future Head Start staff in these evidence-based approaches.
