Coast Guard Reserve Parental Leave Parity Act

This bill extends parental leave benefits to Coast Guard Reserve members by amending existing law. Currently, active-duty parental leave provisions under Title 10 apply only to members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force. The bill removes the exclusion of Coast Guard Reserve members from these provisions, adding them to the list of eligible services. This change ensures Coast Guard Reserve members receive the same parental leave access as their counterparts in other military branches. The bill does not create new leave time but aligns Coast Guard Reserve benefits with existing standards.
