Community Reclamation Partnerships Act

The Community Reclamation Partnerships Act allows states with approved reclamation programs to create agreements with federal and state agencies to clean up water pollution from abandoned mines, requiring detailed plans for improving water quality and public input. It establishes "Community Reclaimer" partnerships, enabling eligible groups (like companies that didn’t cause the pollution and have no outstanding violations) to lead cleanup projects on federally inventoried sites, with states assuming most liability for costs.
