Equitable Transit Oriented Development Support Act

This bill creates a program to support transit-oriented development projects in low-income communities through Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). It establishes "CDFI TOD accounts" that allow CDFIs to receive federal loan funds to make loans for projects near transit facilities (within one-half mile in urban areas or three-fourths of a mile in rural areas) that serve low-income residents, including affordable housing, community facilities, and businesses owned by or serving low-income people. The bill sets aside 10% of TIFIA program funds for these accounts, with project limits of $100 million, and requires CDFIs to make loans with repayment terms not exceeding 30 years. The program aims to help CDFIs provide financing for development near transit hubs that benefits low-income communities.
