HARVARD Act

This bill requires colleges that consider personality traits in admissions to publicly disclose four specific details: what traits they use (like leadership or kindness), why they use them, how they assess them, and the rating criteria. It applies only to institutions that currently incorporate personality traits - defined broadly to include behaviors, thoughts, and emotions related to traits such as integrity or courage - into admission decisions. The law aims to increase transparency for applicants by making these non-academic admission factors clear before they apply. It does not ban the use of personality traits but mandates clear disclosure of how they are evaluated.
