ABLE Tomorrow Act
The ABLE Tomorrow Act makes key improvements to ABLE accounts, which are tax-advantaged savings accounts for people with disabilities. It permanently increases contribution limits, prevents states from seeking repayment from ABLE accounts for Medicaid costs, and allows rollovers from 529 college savings plans. The bill also enables employer contributions to ABLE accounts (treated as employee contributions) and requires Social Security and VA agencies to provide information about ABLE accounts to eligible individuals. These changes directly benefit people with disabilities who use ABLE accounts, their families, and state Medicaid programs by expanding access and simplifying account management.
