HR 10213 United States House · 118th Congress

Whole-Home Repairs Act of 2024

The Whole-Home Repairs Act of 2024 establishes a $25 million pilot program to fund home repairs for low-income homeowners and landlords. Eligible homeowners (with income at or below 80% of area median income who own and occupy their homes) would receive grants for repairs addressing accessibility, safety, and energy efficiency. Eligible landlords (owning fewer than 10 rental properties with a majority of affordable units) would receive forgivable loans for similar repairs, with requirements to maintain affordability for three years. The pilot program would operate until 2029, requiring implementing organizations to coordinate with existing housing programs and submit annual reports on program outcomes.
