City of Caledonia local sales and use tax imposition authorization

This bill authorizes the city of Caledonia to impose a 0.25% local sales and use tax if approved by voters in a special election. The tax revenue would be used to cover tax collection costs and fund up to $1.6 million for building a Public Safety Center. The city could also issue bonds to finance the project, with the tax revenue serving as repayment security. The tax would expire after ten years or once the project costs are fully covered, whichever comes first.
