Youth intervention program supplemental grants appropriation

This bill allocates $5 million from the state's general fund in fiscal year 2027 to provide supplemental grants for existing youth intervention programs in Minnesota. The funds are designated for organizations currently receiving grants under Minnesota Statutes section 142A.43 that serve youth experiencing trauma, with each grantee eligible to receive up to $50,000. To qualify, programs must submit a work plan outlining immediate or emerging needs for early intervention services, and the commissioner may use up to 10 percent of the total appropriation for administrative costs. This one-time appropriation does not apply the standard grant provisions found in the existing statute for these supplemental grants.
