City of Corcoran west metro regional public safety facility bond issue and appropriation

This bill authorizes the issuance of up to $10 million in state bonds to fund a new regional public safety facility in the city of Corcoran. The funds will be used to design, build, and equip a facility that serves as an emergency operations center, regional command center, and training space for law enforcement agencies in western metropolitan Minnesota. The commissioner of public safety will administer the grant to the city of Corcoran, while the commissioner of management and budget will handle the bond sale process. The legislation takes effect immediately upon final enactment.
