City of Ely water infrastructure improvements appropriation and bond issuance authorization

This bill appropriates $3,919,000 from the bond proceeds fund to provide a grant to the city of Ely for critical water infrastructure upgrades. The funds will replace the raw water intake and pump house on Burntside Lake, repair aging water mains, install new pumps and remote monitoring systems, and upgrade the water treatment plant with solar energy and other equipment. The state will issue bonds to cover the cost, repaid from the bond proceeds fund.
