Supported decision making programs appropriation

This bill appropriates $2 million from the general fund for fiscal year 2026 to support "supported decision making" programs under Minnesota law. The funds are for grants to organizations helping people with disabilities make their own decisions, reducing reliance on guardianship or conservatorship. The commissioner of human services must submit three reports by December 2024, 2025, and 2027 detailing grant usage, people served, and how the program increased supported decision making. It does not change existing policy but provides funding and tracking for current programs.
