Wellness checks for students receiving online instruction requirement

SF 2072 requires public school districts providing online instruction to conduct weekly wellness checks on students. Specifically, an adult must visually see and communicate with each student in real time at least once per week to verify their well-being. This applies to all students receiving full-time online instruction through district programs or supplemental online course providers. The bill mandates that any indication of abuse must be reported per Minnesota's child maltreatment laws. The requirement amends Minnesota Statutes section 124D.094, subdivision 2, paragraph (h).
